Cannelure on bullet seating depth

I bought a box of 308 Win, in 165 Hornady SST, I shoot a TC Encore so I don't worry much about C.O.A.L. Is it ok that the cannelure is sticking out? Any effects on accuracy?

No. It won't anything if your rifle likes that seating depth and you have enough of the case neck actually holding the bullet in place.

The position of the unused cannelure is irrelevant in this instance.

Thanks guys, I just wasn't sure and when I skimmed through the Hornady manual I didn't see anything about it.

a bit unsightly, but as long as you don't try to crimp out of cannelure, it makes zero difference
