Can you use a 280 rem seating die for a 280 ackley improved?

Like the title says, can you use the standard Remington 280 seating die for loading 280 ackley improved?

Generally, yes. Try it and verify runout.

Depends.... would work provided seater accepts larger diameter of AI shoulder. I use Hornady seater dies & they will work for all same size calibers & zippo runout.

It may vary by brand, but I'm using my Hornady 6.5 creedmoor seater for 6.5 PRC. Much bigger size difference there.

Curious as to why you only have a 280 Rem seater die? You should be full length sizing with the correct AI die, and do not have a seater die in the set....?

I'm gonna guess on this one, ive seen single FL sizing die and FL sets.
Single may be all he had or can get, years ago I had a 280 set and just bought the 280AI single FL die
