Can a $150 scope be as good as a $1500 scope?

Absolutely, but only at 3 yards or less.:D

Seriously, if the $150 scope works for you, a $1500 scope would be a waste.

If you're depending on that scope to perform during a chance in a lifetime hunt, you might want to raise the bar a bit.

Quality costs, it all falls on where your budget and needs meet.

The new ones from Leupold are good scopes. They are a lot better than the ones I owned in the 70's and for the price, they are about what you expect from a scope in the $150.00-$200.00 range.
