Velocity is great and so is the accuracy. That looks like a winner!

That's probably the best 200 yard group I've ever seen a 7.62x39 shoot... I can't recall ever seeing one shoot a 100 yard group that good...
I forgot to mention that was not the CFE-BLK 2400+fps. It was H335 seems the velocity was around 2200fps. That load almost .5 MOA at 100yds. I was at the range still when I posted the picture...so I didn't take the time to post all the details...

I'm with MudRunner2005 - I'm just stunned at the accuracy for a 7.62X39mm, especially out of an AR platform. That's a 'keeper' gun for sure. And the velocity is quite good. It brings that gun to near .30-30 power level but with more aerodynamic bullets.
I'm glad you clarified that the velocity you showed wasn't from the CFE BLK powder as I was wondering how the .300 BO could 'only' get about 1900fps from the CFE BLK but the 7.62X39 could be so much faster. Now it makes sense (using H335 instead.)

The two black silhouette are on the 50yd line and just barely visable to the right is the 100yd line of targets. We service our own targets...the water closest to the 100yd line was almost over rubber boots.
Because of the weather I had the 200 to 600 all to myself. BUT...just as I was about to leave, the RO stopped to see how the 7.62x39 was doing at 200yds. He watched me shoot those three shots, then looked through my spoting scope. He couldn't believe the group either.
If you can find a flat base bullet in the weight range you want, try them.. They will stabilize in slower twist rates better than a boat tail, which is there mainly for transonic stability and BC. BIB makes a 155 flat base that I shot in a 308 12 twist with good success.
Ok...last detail on the range trip.
125gr HP .308. bullets shot just fine in both of my 7.62x39 AR rifles at 100 yards. I only took 10 so they were gone by the time I got to the 200yds line.
I did make a call on one of the piston rifles. I ordered a 6.5 Grendel barrel and bolt for it today. I'm not going to go into the 6.8 SPC. I have three Grendel's already, so what the hell...why not a forth one!?!?
I am limited on barrel length as Osprey claims the carbine length gas system is the preferred length. So I have a 16" barrel coming to be swapped out with the 6.8...
The 300BO shot too good to abandon and the 7.62x39 was crazy accurate, so no way I can let that go!
So we shall see whether I choose to stay with 7.62x39 or go with the 6.5 Grendel for my night vision gun this fall.
I guess having the can in time or not, it won't matter which rifle it ends up on. Once a bullet hits a bone the hogs are gone anyway.

Nice follow up showing the targets and load data. You are a good shot and the guns are certainly up to the task as well. I love it when I get a gun that really clusters them together for me. Accurate is fun. Cracks me up that you'll have a fourth 6.5 Grendel, but I get the thinking behind it (you are set up to load for them already, so it keeps things simple.) Besides, the 6.8 SPC doesn't do anything new or different for you, so no point going down that road unless you just like to play with new stuff for giggles. I hope your can arrives quickly. Always more fun to shoot with a QUIET gun.
