buying rifle powder?

I have several 1 pound canistera of my favorite powders for new load development. If I find a load that works, I then go out and buy a 5 or 8 pound keg to last the life of the barrel/cartridge. that way, I don't have to mess around with different lots.

Same here, in fact this site is what gave me the idea. Different lots do make a difference.
