Personally I'd be hesitant to put a 20-30MOA base on a scope with only 50MOA of elevation built into it. Depending on how much adjusting it took to get zeroed, you might have a hard time getting the crosshairs to the bullet at closer ranges.

If one was just shooting at extended ranges though, it would be no problem.

With a 20MOA base, I could easily zero at 100 yards. And still adjust to beyond 1200 yards.
