bushnell elite 3200 and 4200

whats the real diference on this pair, wen you are loking for a budget scope i can´t find a better quality product than this, but is there any optical or mechanical diference ? this pair are suposed to stand the recoil of a 375 hh, $200 vs $300 price , im wondering what does the elite 4200 have to wort 50% more .

sorry im¨talking about the 3-9x40mm models

In the past the 4200's had the "raingaurd coating" and the 3200's didn't. The 4200's also were claimed to handle 10k rounds of 375 H&H, while the 3200's handle 1k rounds or something like that. Also the 4200's 4x and the 3200's were 3x. I own a 3200 3-9 and several 4200's in various ranges of power and they all work great.

The 3200(with RainGaurd coating) 3-9 is on a full stocked 18" barreled 7mm-08 that I don't shoot past 150yds. When I switch loads from 120gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips to 140gr. Nosler Partitions which is 3" to the left and 2" up and back it tracks perfectly. The turrets are different from my 6-24x50T, but I don't dial that one elevation. Seems plenty clear and bright for the timber I'm hunting with it.

From what I understand (or rather understood) Bushnell has two grades of glass, the first they use in the 3200 and the second the use in the 4200 and 6500. The difference between the 4200 and 6500 is the 30mm tube and greater range of adjustment. I was looking for a 4200 but the 6500 series had the reticle I wanted with the objective size i wanted. I am a life long Leupold fan, but the 4200 is hands down the best value in hunting scopes right now.
