I ran across a 625 golden clays at my local gun shop. I have wanted a 525 golden clays for years but this one is very close. Looking at gunbroker, I am having a hard time placing a value on it. Anyone have any insight on the value of one in good used condition, no box? They have $2900 on the tag but I am hoping to negotiate.
Thanks
BCR

IMHO, that price is probably about retail for new when this gun was being manufactured. Is it the gauge/barrel length you want? Has anything on it been modified? Is wood average figure or better for the model? What kind of case comes with it? Box, papers, extra chokes all there? Condition, condition, condition outside of that. I think 2014 was the last year for this model.
It appears the new 725 Golden Clays has a few more features, but the retail price practically doubled. Good luck with your decision - I have bought many and kept few myself.

Thanks for the reply! I just realized the typo, autocorrect got me again. I went back and handled it today. 12 gauge, which is what I want. 28" barrels, I think I would have picked 30" if new but not a deal killer. No box no case but all paperwork, chokes, triggers. Wood has excellent figuring. Excellent original condition with the exception of an aftermarket recoil pad. They came down to $2700 which I think is fair based on the price it was new and the price of the 725s new. They may be getting the better of me by a couple hundred.
