This is a ???? for you gunsmiths. If I use a 1.250" barrel blank, what is the max chamber I can use in a B-78? I'm thinking .470" size, but hoping .530"?:D...Rich

Both the 1885 and the B78 came with the belted Magnum chambers (.532) and can handle
them easy.

I had a 7 Rem Mag that I later converted to a 7mm STW. One of my favorite single shot rifles
is a Browning 1885 that I re barreled to 45/120.

They are strong actions and be made to shoot very well.

Good Luck.

Good to hear from you Jerry! Thanks for the quick response. I have one chambered in my 300 Sherman that shoots lights out. It has a 28" Bartlein and I was thinking I might want to punch it out to my new 30/375 S.I........thanks again/Rich
