Brainwashing of America

Sadly I feel it's a situation that is destined to get worse, not better. I'm glad that I won't be here in 100 years.
+1..... Unless people wake up It won't take that long. The +90% corrupt press, and liberal education/teaching institutions have been hard at work to indoctrinate our youth, along with a gullible electorate that has lost any sense of strife! Enjoy what little we have left of liberty while it's lasts.

Try being married to a Canadian girl..

The inlaws' faces went ghost white when I nonchalantly dropped a coyote while we were driving around in the pasture on my place.

You would have thought just having a rifle behind the seat of the truck was a lifetime offense. It took two years to convince them a rifle is a tool just like a hammer or wrench, and that it wont actually jump up and kill them by magic.

Born and raised in western Canada myself and where I grew up the rifle rack in the back window was a common and expected feature, even in the school parking lot. Shooting varmints while driving around the pasture was a weekly occurrence. Handguns on the other hand are hardly worth the effort in Canada. The biggest difference I think is all politics. Firearms have stayed off the political radar pretty much in Canada for some reason or other, or at least has not become the daily media fodder on an every day basis like it is here.

My dear sweet liberal mother , (who was also capable of grabbing a rifle and letting the air out of a coyote back in the day), made the offhand comment one day that Americans are too taken with their firearms. I said for christ sake Maw, everyone you know in Canada has multiple firearms (except maybe in Quebec), it just never comes up in everyday news media BS. She thought about that for a minute and had to concede that was true.

Thats the thing, they are all from Alberta. If they were from downtown Montreal or Toronto then I would have expected it. My father in law grew up on a farm south of Edmonton and shot a 22 as a kid, yet still..

Its like how almost nobody understands where their food (farm, ranch, hunting) comes from now. People in the US are almost all at least one generation removed from the ag industry. So they all just absorb and repeat whatever nonsense the anti-meat people say. When a cattleman like myself points out the absurdity of the anti meat claims, people look at me like I am the crazy one. Articulating the point with stats and proof have no effect.

I guess there is no explanation when logic goes out the window. All I try and do is convert one at a time. I got three women shooting last year and I'm very proud of that. Also one guy from the East coast who had never hunted before got his first deer and had me build him a semi custom deer rifle.

My mother was taken aback the last time she was here when as we were walking out the door my bride calmly asked if I had remembered my pistol. :)

Was watching a mountain bike riding show on YouTube other day....they were riding in an area where troops do rigorous full gear hikes....and yes they were packing all kinds of rifles on their hike.....and the idiot on the mtn bike made the comment that he felt uneasy because those guys had rifles on them.....wanna guess where the biker was from.....
Yes.....Canada.....
If you don't like it...stay the hell out of our country....making money from his site with him and his girlfriend traveling through the US..using our fuels...our foods...our road systems....
You other canucks ought to go find this guy and read him from your books......

Actually there is some evidence the generation coming of age now is more conservative than the millennials, fewer majoring in foo-foo studies, more in STEM and Business, which tend towards conservative, more going into trades (like Jerry Wayne who schooled Sleepy Joe in Michigan and is now in an NRA ad) and, like more Blacks and latinos, voting conservative. So, there is always hope.

Paul Harvey back in 64-65. There is 2 generations there that did absolutely nothing to better themselves or their children and yet they attack the millennials (snowflakes) Those youngsters never had a fair chance now they have have to find their own direction.

Recently we took a family trip. We were headed in the Direction of West Texas. I remarked to my Wife this might be a great opportunity to have the kiddos fire the AR-15 and get some trigger time. Now knowing what I know about the Wild Blue Yonder I was talking about one of the many vast sections of land that is uninhabited by Modern Man. My Wife went Ballistic going on and on on how I was gonna get arrested and the Only place you can legally fire a Gun is at a Gun Range! I'm not talking about being irresponsible here, I wouldn't do that. What I see here is the Brainwashing that has occurred. We're talking about a Gal who grew up in a family of Hunters and spent some time without running water or Electricity when she was a toddler as her Parents literally lived in the Hills. I don't know if it's all her City-Slicker College Degrees that's altered her mindset or what? It's happening all over, whether it's the TV - Cable Media or Social Media or whatever. Doggone it Man, this Country was Born by Men with Guns! Most kids growing up today believe all this nonsense against Guns.

"Soft lands breed soft people" - Cyrus the Achaemenid. This was a guy from a culture that was taught from childhood that a worthy man must learn how to 'ride, shoot straight, and speak the truth'. Societies start with a harsh and dynamic culture, then as they become wealthy and life becomes too easy, they fall into a corrupt and degenerate state of mind....The Lie that we are taught these days is that we are evolving into some kind of human ideal that is fit for a one-world utopia. In reality, we're degenerating towards universal slavery.

As Tytler supposedly said, "The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage."

And how many people picked up on your Zoroastrian screen name? very historical.

Not to trash on the Canadians, but I have to laugh. My wife and I own a jewelry and leather business where we travel all over doing art shows. We winter in Arizona at the 55+ RV resorts ( I'm 36...). They're loaded with Canadians. We set up a silversmith/leather shop in canopy tents behind the motor home and at one point or another, just about everyone in the Park has to swing by to check out what is going on. Well, being a leather guy and a gun guy, I do lots of holsters. It was right after a big show where we had taken 11 custom orders and I was working on just gun leather that day, when our (Alberton) neighbors all had their adult kids come to AZ for a visit. About 10 of em all came into the tent at the same time unannounced while I had all these pistols laid out on my work table. The look on their faces was priceless. It never really dawned on me that folks from the supposed "country " could be so terrified of inanimate objects. Big guys, visibly shaken by the sight of a gun ( well, guns).... totally brainwashed. I did offer to take em out and shoot (mine). None accepted. All are very polite.

Our founding fathers drove out all the Tories and big government types during the revolution. We sent them packing to Canada. In my opinion, Canada could use a fresh infusion of some more.
