Borescope of my 338 Edge crown after 500+ rounds

Kg 1 for carbon and kg12 for copper work great for me. If I was to ever feel the need to get something else or couldn't find the kg I would use boretech.

You can try JB or Iosso but I have not had great luck with it removing carbon rings. I find a good scrub with a nylon brush and C4 and or Seafoam works best.

Iosso is the only thing I've found that will clean up carbon rings in my 357 from shooting 38 wadcutters.

I am not saying it won't work. I don't shoot pistols much. I can tell you it does very little in my magnum rifles to remove the carbon ring. I do use JB after every couple cleanings to help keep the throat smooth.

I have bore paste. Are you guys verifying the carbon ring is gone with borescope or by feel with cleaning rod?

My 7RUM would copper up terribly. When I got tired of pushing chemicals through paste always finished the job.

I hate getting the paste out of the chamber. Brake cleaner and compressed air

wow...all this discussion of how to clean a barrel. I haven't cleaned the barrel of any of my rifles in several years with no ill effects.Maybe I'm just lucky?
