Black taping a break?

I have never tried it on a gun with a break .Anyone have any experience with it?
I will be sliding the muzzle in first into a scabbard on my back back and I would like to keep the muzzle clean.

I haven't tried the tape on a break, it may be simpler to use baloons on em.

We tape our brakes all the time, even the big 4 angled port versions. Use the 2" wide tape on them, standard electrical tape on the smaller ones. It works perfectly.

Works the same with brake or no brake. Use it all the time to keep debris out of barrel.
