Black shank or stainless on PROOF carbon fiber barrels?

Well I suppose if your action is black or deep blue, and your stock is dark, it makes sense to go with the cerakoted option.

but if your action is stainless, or your stock has some light colored webbing in it, or you don't want to spend to have it cerakoted, then the stainless from factory option also works.

I have two rifles with a proof barrel, and soon to be a third. I didn't mess with cerakote on them.

Black or other dark color. Imo-the dark barrel doesn't contrast well to having bare stainless on each end.

Ultimately, it's purely a personal preference.

I went with bead blasted for mine with bolt nitrided. I'm going with the same for my gun that's in the works now.

I chose black because the rifle was going to be a hunting rifle and I didn't want bright surfaces on the shank and muzzle. For a pure target gun I would have left them stainless.

Totally depends on the stock and action colors. I cerakote my own and I also blast to the finish I want. In some cases I leave polished, blast to a matte, or blast and paint.
