Bird dogs

Shes a stocky build, about 65. Young one is long and skinny about 55lbs. I had a pair of white gsp's about 15 years ago that were huge, female was 75lbs and male was 90, lean machines too!

I gave my 1st GSP his last ride on Father's Day, he was an incredible dog, thought we might have one more season. Have a new one, 8 months old, frinckin thing eats everything and is tearing the house apart. He will never live up to my memories of Dude...the wife keeps telling me Gus acts the same as Dude as a puppy....guess my memory doesn't go back that far.

Hard to go back that far when so many other good memories happened in between. That's tough brother! I've been there more than I care to.

Hey,

Here are my Brit's. The ten year old on the left and on the right 18 months at the time of the picture. This was in SD last October, young dogs first big hunt. She did fantastic, finding and pointing. Have to work on retrieving with the young dog, she finds them and then just stands over them. The older girl was her usual fantastic. My cousin also in the picture, second year we've made the trip and we're planning this year's now
Take Care

Went DK for our newest pup, this'll be his 2nd season. Being a youngster, he's a certified a$$hole most days, but he's tough as nails, and a big time family dog when he finally winds down in the evening...and I don't have to pick crap out of his hair the entire night after a hunt

I think it's the German thing. Mines an A hole too, lots of crap in his hair every time he goes outside. Maybe I should have got the pup with the short tight coat
I wanted a draht, my wife wanted less hair. Both great breeds.
