Got called in to do some coyote control for a local dairy farmer out here in Saskatchewan. They've got a pile of dead animals behind their yard, and the coyotes, of course, have been helping themselves. The farm is in a "Shooting Restricted" zone (no centerfire rifles), because it's about 10 minutes away from a small city. Just walked out into the field at daybreak, didn't even start calling yet, and shot this big fella at around 115 yards with my new Savage 93R17 TRR-SR. No headshot here, aimed for the shoulder, hit the shoulder. Bugger ran about 100 yards, which isn't bad for being hit by a 17 grain VMax. He weighed in at 46 pounds!
