best powder for reloading 308.

I've loaded 150's with 4064 and AA2520 the most. The former is more accurate than the latter by a smidge, but the latter meters better And about 75 FPS faster for my pet load. I've also used AA2460 but that powder is a bit frustrating to Get consistent weight throws with.

I've used most of those powders mentioned for the .308 but generally prefer H4895 for bullet weights between 150 and 180 grains.

Everything above. Over the decades, the only one I have not used is N204. I had several very accurate target/hunting loads with 4895, 4064, H335 and Varget, and very good speed with 4064 and TAC with 150-155's. However, the past 3 years, I have been loading my 155's with CFE223, and in one of my 26" varmint barrels, it has been a stellar performer @ 600-1,000yds. Vels with 50.5gr hover around the 3,000fps mark. YMMV
