Best 280 AI brass

I bought some Nosler on .280ai before I heard of Petersen.
I later read a great review on Petersen, I would give them a try if I needed some. I can't complain about the Nosler brass but I haven't done much yet. And it's my first experience with premium brass.

I have used Nosler brass in a 300wsm, and loaded hot. I have around 10 firings through that brass. Maybe you just got a bad batch, but I've been really impressed with the Nosler brass. I also believe it is made by Norma. My first choice is always Lapua, second is Norma, then Nosler. Its all usually good stuff. Your options are limited with the AI.

Nosler is good brass (mostly), Peterson is great brass In the cartridges I own including 280AI. Peterson brass comes prepped near perfect and I love that it comes in a reusable box. Keeps the necks perfect unlike others all thrown in a box and shipped while clanking against each other deforming the necks.

I've gotten to the point I just load the brass out of the box with zero prep for the first fire forming. Flash holes drilled about perfect and very uniform. Necks perfect and none bent or deformed. Pretty nice to just prime, powder, and load, then put right back into a perfect fitting box. Makes it easy to keep track of firings as well.

Good luck finding it though, especially in 280AI. Something special when you do.

I have 300 rounds of Nosler. Just started working on loads, so can't vouch for longevity. I was lucky to get Peterson for my 300wm, and as Sqeeeeze said, love the fact it comes prepped and in a reusable box. If I could have found it for the 280 AI, I'd have purchased it instead. But no complaints with Nosler so far.
