Berger VLD Loads for 30-06

I have been interested in the Berger VLD bullet for hunting elk. Does anybody have load data for the 30-06 cartridge? I'll be using a Savage 114. I have been shooting Win. Supreme XP3's. 180 gr, at the range with great results and tight groups. Also when reloading, what powder is recommended, I just got back into reloading after many years away from it.

I use 49.5gr of varget with 168gr VLD with CCI 200 and rem brass it is a good load for my rem700. I'm guessing it is around 2750fps.

I am highly considering this option as a hunting load as well.

Has anyone have an opinion on the effectiveness of the Berger's as a hunting bullet?

I know they are great for paper punching.gun)
