Berger OTM Tactical .264 130 grain Hunting

Anyone hunt with this bullet for whitetail sized game? My Tikka T3x 6.5 Creedmoor likes them over 42 grains 4451.
Haven't hunted with them, but have had the same accuracy results as other posters. Bought a LOT of them while waiting on an AR-10 65CM build. Loaded with Staball with no regards for seating depth…..loaded for mag & feeding. Accuracy has been crazy good with good ES & SDs I haven't even played with load. Unexpected good velocity with Staball…way below pressure I'm seeing ~ 2825 with 22" bbl.

All one and done. The only animal to take a single step was my pronghorn as it was on a 50mph mad dash.

Lance, one of my favorite threads. Got a question. I just got a 6.5 PRC and want to work up some loads with 130 grain OTM. Neighborhood of 3100 FPS. Is this too fast for the 130 OTM?

Nope. I run them at 3075 in my 20" 6.5SS. Also shot them at 3200 from my old 26" 6.5SS. Devastating on game.

The OTMs have the slightly thicker jacket of the other target bullets. They hold together just fine on game.

When the 6.5SAUMs (4S) first came out, lots of guys were running the 130 VLDs way fast. 3200+. They hit like a lightning bolt.

Thinking about it, I loaded the 130 OTM in a buddy's .264WM because it had a 1:9" twist. 3260fps and he has crushed some mule deer with his.

Good point - I was one of the guys shooting 130 VLDs (hunting) to 3,200 in my 6.5 SAUM, with 63 grains H1000. Took 2 antelope and one mule deer with them, no problems at all. Ranges from about 80 yards to over 300.

Add a couple more animals to my daughter's 6.5SLR slinging 130 OTMs.

381 yards. One and done.

771 and 792 yards, quartering away. The video my buddy got from 2.5 miles away is awesome. 2 shots on this one because of a bad wind call by her guide (me). 1st hit a bit far back. He was dead with the first shot, he just didn't know it. So a 2nd shot was sent to seal the deal. The exit was brutal.

Cow standing there watching like "y'all shooting critters again" 😂

I'm wondering if Ramshot Magnum or H1000 will be better for the 130 grain Berger OTM out of my 6.5 PRC. I only have CCI 250 magnum primers to load with. About out of Federal 210 regular LRP.

Nice long distance shooting by the kids!!!
Those are some monster bucks!
Hoping to nail one like that this season. I would use the Berger VLDH or VLDCH, but Calif. is monos only so I'm limiting my 270Win to 500 yards, 6.5CM to 350, to keep velocity above 2200.

I bought a 20" barrel Tikka CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor. Accuracy node with the 130 grain OTM is 2700 FPS but it's .25 MOA accurate.

A little slow for the 130 OTM but it's a 20" barrel Tikka. It will still be deadly out to 600 yards.

Did you hit pressure or just found a nice node?

Groups started to open up at 43 grains of H4350. I'm assuming pressure is right around the corner. I might try 43.2 and 43.4 grains but don't want to fill case much more. The 20" Tikka CTR barrel along with H4350 and a 130 grain bullet isn't going to get much faster than 2700.
