Any word on the continuation of the EOL line of bullets? I know we've all heard rumors but is there any solid information when the new bullets will surface potentially?

If i'm not mistaken, I think they started calling them the "Elite Hunter" series instead of EOL. But, I could be wrong. I know the 7mm 195's are now changed to the "Elite Hunters".

I guess my question is then when will we be hearing about the push to come out with the rumored 155gr 6.5mm and 245gr 30cal? Just seems they're a bit slow filling in the other caliber since the release of the 170 and 195. Either way I'm sure the finished product will be outstanding when they finally do come out.

That's what I want. A 150+ grain hybrid design hunting bullet.

I just want them to come out with a 130-140gr .257 hybrid hunting bullet first... We 1/4-bore guys are LONG overdue... MUCH longer than the 6.5mm and .30 cal guys.

I talked to someone at EOL store in Oregon about a month ago. I was calling to order some brass and bullets for a 6.5 WSM. He mentioned that in July they were going to be testing the 155 grain EOL in the .264 caliber, and that they hope to be out in fall. Kinda bad timing if you ask me?

That's the best news I've heard all day! Did he say what twist it would require?

In the meantime, don't rule out the 147 ELDM with a near 7 b.c. (.351 G7) I believe that they may be a VERY good long range hunting bullet. I am running them over 3100' in my SST and they could be run at nearly 3200' in the SS. When you calculate the long range terminal ballistics, given they will expand down around 1300 fps, whats not to like?.....Rich

I am curious about the game performance of those bullets. Anyone have real world experience? I didn't hear twist rate talk. I would assume a 1:8 would do it.

Oh I agree. Way over due. I'd imagine it's not out of possibility since they did come out with the 170 grainier for the .270

I am wondering if the 7mm Elite 175 hunter is better then the 180 Target hybrid in a 7 LRM?

I don't think you could get the speed for a 195 to beat the 180 hybrid. Some gun builders have told me if you run the numbers on the two, the advantages are minimal with the velocity difference.
