I have been waiting on these (as MANY others have too) for a long time now. In July I was told that they should have them in circulation by the Fall (I assumed Berger meant Fall `18) and here we are almost closing the year out and nothing . . crickets.

The 150 grain Sierra's are shooting well for me and I did some critter testing on some hogs off the power line easement with decent results. Right out of the box terminal results were okay, but heat treating the tips (Elkoholic/BigNGreen trick) seemed to make things a little nastier on the insides.

These Bergers are what I'm wanting though and I'm getting ready to do a 6.5 tailored for a 150 grain plus weighted hunting bullet. Anybody "in the know" with any information on a release date yet? Thank you.

Been waiting too. I finally gave up and am running the 150 SMK too. 6.5SS pushing the 150 SMK @ 3117. Had them up to 3165, but 3117 is with a stable and very accurate powder. They put a whoopin' on coyotes and a pronghorn.

My 6.5SS with 7 twist proof will be wore out before I ever get to put a 156 down it!

I spoke with the owner of a local gun shop and he told me that Berger might have been bought out. I don't know how true this is , but there sure isn't any production of bullets to be seen. I've put projects on hold due to lack of bullets. Emails to the company get no answer.

this is typical Berger get everybody worked up in anticipation for a earth shattering bullet release and then don't produce ,come up with every excuse possible.
look how many years it took to bring the 7mm 195 EOL to market 4 almost 5 years

    Berger was purchased by Lapua.

And Bruno's Shooters has a bunch of Bergers on the shelf, with more coming in. Just picked up a box of 500 140 HVLDs yesterday. Haven't seen those in a long time on any shelves.

Lance, what twist you running? I'm doing a 6.5 saum, Tikka long action, 200 freebore and 26" barrel, want to go proof 1:8 if it'll stabilize the 150 smk.

Berger was purchased by NAMMO which also owns Lapua.

    https://www.nammo.com/

Coupled with the buyout, Berger through Nammo chose to move their facilities back to Arizona (Mesa). But there was little to no preparation to help cover the all the production downtime. Many of the most used bullets came up short in the circulation department. Some are just now resurfacing after many months or even the better part of a year missing in action.

Why don't you order some 160 Matrix bullets?

Also started up their own line of ammo. Believe that sucked up a lot of the production that could have hit the shelves too.

25.5" 1:8" twist Bartlein 5R. It loves the 150 SMKs.

I Just got in 8 boxes and the shipping was $30.

I think it is flat shipping rate (up to a point) so I ordered more bullets to compensate for the shipping costs.

I gave up on the 156's.
I'm making the 147 ELDM's work after fighting with them for months, running them slow, at a little over 3100 FPS. Good news is its at 1/4 MOA. Moved on to other calibers and rifles.
