I'm amazed it was able to go as far as it did. Animals are insanely tough. I had a buck antelope take a 300WM like a champ at only 200 yards. He ran a few steps with a broken shoulder, turned and stared at me before tipping over for good. Pulled it's heart out of the exit hole…
 
It just about did! It was about a bucket of blood and lung on the ice, right underneath where he jumped

Here's the impact zone from a 200 pound wt buck I shot two years ago with a 230 berger at 180 yards.

That deer was hit, knocked off his feet for just a couple seconds then ran about 50 yards spraying blood. There was particles 20 feet past the impact zone and a piece of lung which exited the chest cavity next to my boot for scale.
