Behind enemy lines in CA. Need to escape. Need help

Our last election was closer than I would've liked it to be. I know there are to many californa's in the Boise area because I heard they are trying to make it a sanctuary city. This will just make it worse. At this point I hate to say it, but think we may be starting the downhill slide.

Happend to Co. and happening to Mt.. I don't think as many liberals are moving out of state as there are conservatives. So remember not a Californians are bad and they don't want to see Idaho or any other state they move to turn into what they just left. Problem is all the libs move to the resort cities. In Wy. The libs all live in Jackson Hole. There and Laramie where the mushheads are in the University of Wy.. Liberalism is not only a mental disorder it's a plague. As you can see it spreads.

Okay, I will just own this fact that I am a 4th gen Californian, but all generations have been Reagan style conservatives and are from rural CA. With that said, I just retired from Law enforcement and am looking for a safe semi rural place to raise my family. Gun rights are paramount, good big game hunting, and the ability to be left alone. I mind my own business, and don't ever want to turn the place i move to into California. Every state I look at, it seems they are not far from becoming blue. I lived in NV and would not even consider it now since the libs have a super majority there, with Reno and Vegas controlling the state.
There are Sheepdawg's and there are wolves. And there are sheeple. Keep up the fight .

Idaho native who grew up hunting in the central part of the state but moved away after high school. Never saw anyone else up hunting in the hills all those years. Still have family there and visit a couple times a year. Can tell you..the state is already lost. How do I know? Been living in looney liberal Illinois since '92. Have seen first hand how a state can be completely taken over by the plague. Same thing happening in the Gem state. Refugees from every crap hole country being moved in to turn the state blue, rising crime, SO many people from ComiCaliifornia. It really is said. My brother inlaw was bow hunting muleys this past fall...and said the hills were chuck full of people. Never saw a deer.

Had my exodus from the peoples socialist republic of California and moved to Colorado back in the early 90's, we left dodge once there was talk of an "assault weapons" ban, my Dad wasn't about to let Feinstein take his Belgian hardware. Low and behold, the blue menace followed us here twenty five years later. We truly are running out of places to go.

I hear you. California does NOT have one hunter on the Fish and Game commission. It is fully comprised of environmentalists and they are proud they ran the last hunter off the commission. The poor guy just gave up after devoting several years fighting for our interests. I live in the X 9A zone and believe it will take over 8 points to draw a resident deer tag. I will be out of this state before I draw again and my sons will never hunt, here because they will most likely never draw a tag here.
You sound very much like me. I've hunted X9a. X9B. X10 and X12. I thought about moving to Bishop once. I love that town but it's still Ca. I've been to and stayed at Convict Lake many times. Mule days. Mammoth. It's like being out of state but not.

I live in Livermore, California and hope to pull out of here when I retire in a few years. Idaho has been my main interest. I like Wyoming and South Dakota, but, like most of the mountain states the winters are very cold. My wife has Raynaud's Syndrome and can't take the cold too well. I've also looked into Nevada, Arizona, and Texas. There's something she doesn't like about all of them. Oh well, we'll see what happens in a few years.

The only way that conservatives are going to win any election from here on out is for the state of which you vote to abolish the popularity and electoral votes.....
The only way to win back the state(any state) is to have a county by county vote count.....that would give the rurals a chance for their votes to count....and each state votes within itself to elect a president(again county by county) but each state gets ONE VOTE....no more electoral votes because of the population....and NO SUPER ELECTORAL (BS) VOTES.....
so where can this type of vote start and save your state.....
I Grew up in Oregon....its gone...could easily be changed to a county by county state and rural would win....
In idaho now and seeing the same as Oregon...Boise and surrounding taking the state away from rural....needs to be stopped....
Spent the winter in Carson City....was there 30 years ago....its still a butt ugly area....and the commies have taken hold of it and reno.....nevada is gone....
The plague is spreading and will destroy every inch of land from coast to coast.....

Forget New Mexico. Lived here for decades and it has gradually become Californicated. Reason there are so many floods in Kansas and Nebraska and so many Californians in New Mexico is those states had first choice!

Ugh.... long sad face.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as much to blame as anyone else. I'm not a native Idahoan. I found myself in Idaho as my last duty station and decided that I'd never leave. With that, I've only been here 10 years and have witnessed the damage of California (and Washington and Oregon if we are talking about hunting impact for non-res hunters in the mountains). About half of my time at work is spent vetting candidates and interviewing, most of the people we attract to our company are good folks like you guys (construction people tend to swing the "right way").
With that, the sheer volume of people from Cali that I interview is certainly just a small percentage of the total Californians that are flocking here.
My Wife and used to enjoy date nights downtown before we had kids 7 years ago. We went out last weekend on maybe the first really nice Spring Saturday and it was appalling, Boise just oozes liberalism now. I felt uncomfortable.
The housing market is beyond frustrating, if you have owned a house in Idaho for more than 3 years here you can't afford to move. Californians are cashing out their overvalued homes and paying cash for nice big houses on 1/2 acre lots with views (which are being built in the foothills that our mule deer desperately need for wintering grounds.... and nobody is saying anything about).
As I said, I didn't grow up here, but as has been said before, I don't think anywhere is safe. They don't just control the cities and the votes, their money buys up all of the mountain towns and hobby farms too. Goodbye to quail hunting, goodbye to retirement/escape options for folks that can't stand the thought of dwelling in close proximity to the offenders.
The last thing I want is more competition in the mountains, but the truth is that we are seeing more people in the mountains despite our personal wishes, I'd rather share the mountains with folks like you that vote as I vote. We can at least agree to get along and pull in the same direction.
