I had a 8-32x Mueller scope on my HMR but for hunting purposes it was too much magnification for my purposes. I was shopping around and picked up a 4-12x Vortex Diamondback Tactical scope for it from MidwayUSA. Got a good price on it because I got $100 off it for being registered and it being my birthday month.
After sighting it in I shot the attached 5 shot group at 100 Meters (110 yards). I'm pretty happy with this rifle. I was shooting slightly tighter groups with the Mueller scope and the higher magnification but I think this Vortex will work out just fine. I don't plan on shooting game past 600 yards and 12x should be enough magnification. After shooting the group I made a scope adjustment to get it dead on.
