Barrel for 300 wsm

I am putting together a 300 wsm, this is what I am thinking:

#6 or #7 Douglas XX air gauged fluted. Probably 22"-24".

Any advice or thoughts? Also, a gunsmith recommendation would be appreciated.

Putting a 26 " on mine.. What action are you using?

I hate short barrels! If you are going to go that short you might as well give your shoulder a brake and just chamber in 308 win.

I am using an FNH SPR action.

This one has the FN SPR Action with a Douglas barrel #7 contour at 24" and a Manners T3 stock.

It is a heck of a rifle. 1/2 MOA is no problem. However I ended up letting a good friend of mine talk me into selling it to him. I still get to shoot it every once in a while though so its not too bad of a deal.
