Barrel cleaning: Sweet’s 7.62 with CLP follow-up

Tried something about 2 weeks ago that really opened my eyes....CLR on a stainless barrel, after I thought it was clean......and before all the nay sayers start about the steel coloring the patch, I did the rub test on the bbl and nothing.....after Bore tec carbon and copper remover alternating , ran CLR, patch was black! Not saying that it's for everybody, and I don't know about chromemoly, but it works on carbon in stainless bbl's.....and this is on a Bartlien bbl....shot a match today, 200,300,385,500 meters, and came in 2nd.....so it doesn't do to much bad to it....rsbhunter

I've also used it with good results! But it won't remove all carbon. I had a pretty heavy baked on black build up in a barrel that the CLR wouldn't do much to. I got it out by using JBs and PB Blaster penetrating oil.

But it has worked pretty well on my other gun
