Barrel change

I just got a savage model 16 in .223 i have watched alot of videos on barrel swaps and read alot of articles. But i could not find info on how to change the model 16 barrel since the barrel nut does not have either type of grove savage uses for their barrel nut what do i do or how do i change it?

Go to the midway USA site and type in "Savage Barrel nut wrench" they have a 2 wrench kit for like $26, one of the wrenchs in the kit are for the nut on your gun.

You can also try a strap wrench

If u click on the pic u will notice it is smooth and has neither groove savage uses charters. Hmm i guess all try the strap wrench thnx man.
