Barnes 165 LRX in 300 Win Mag

Does anybody have load data with the Barnes 165 LRX in a 300 Win Mag? I know it's not optimum, but the fastest powder I have available is H1000 or N565

Replace those Barnes with some 181 hammers and you got a the right powders

H1000 will be fine with the 165g LRX. 70g is about max.
Look up Barnes online data, it should list H1000.

This was some quick load development for a buddy. Ended up at 78gr H1000 w/ Barnes brass and Fed215 primer. Didn't even bother with MV due to his setup. Shot 2" group at 300 yards and patterned well with his factory Barnes load. That is all he was after

Thanks - how far off the lands did you start? I have found that Barnes likes a big jump like .05 or more. Wonder what you found.

I loaded them at SAAMI specs for this gentleman. He was in a bind due to the ammo shortage and I was able to scrounge up some bullets so he'd have more than 10 rounds for his pack in elk hunt
