My brother has a bait pile 100 yards from his house that attacks the local yotes and it paid off this am.
Nice looking yote w/ 180 grain nosler partition went in and out with about a 2 inch exit hole. A bang flop. (DUH!) He likes his 1971 vintage model 70 push feed for elk to muskrats. Wouldn't be my choice at all with a 1970 rem model 700 in 22-250 that he has also.
Predicting 3-5 inches of snow tonight. Going after them in the am! After the hunt, I will be putting new bait by my ground blind. They cleaned up the last bait I put out w/o getting a shot. I love the blind on cold, windy days! Cheers!

My favorite way to hunt coyotes is over bait. I use road kill deer. I started doing it when I was teenager. It takes the guess work out finding them. Its also good for foxes, coons, crows, and a few other pests.
