Just got back from our SD antelope hunt, went 4 for 4 plus a couple of does, and we got what seems like a dandy buck that has 15" horns, 7.5" cutters and pretty good mass. This buck has small projections, like bumps that protrude from the horns where you would measure the horn diameter. Do you measure around them with the tape pressed tight to the horn or do just run the tape around the horn to get the measurement?

I was taught to measure the bumps too. Where ever the measurement is supposed to be, just wrap and measure, bumps or not.

I am not a certified B&C Score Taker however. My instructions were given by a taxidermist who was an official SCI score taker. If you want it in the books, it has to be done officially by a certified person.
