I took this nice Axis deer last weekend while hunting at the Wilderness Hunting Lodge in eastern Tennessee. He was quartering to me at about 100 yards and I was shooting down into the bottom where he was feeding under a walnut tree. The bullet entered the top of his left shoulder and exited the bottom right of his ribcage. I used a T/C Encore chambered in 338 GNR with a 200 grain Hornady Fex-tip bullet traveling at 2600 fps.

I cooked some of the tenderloins last night and they were awesome!

This Encore has quickly become one of my favorite hunting handguns. The 338 GNR will deliver a 200 grain bullet at 2600 fps. at the muzzle and the accuracy is outstanding.
