Athlon Optics... as good as Alphas?

I've seen a lot of chatter on the hide about their new Cronus the past year and am curious if any of y'all have experience with them yet. I'm looking into the Cronus BTR 4.5-29x50, but may get my feet wet with the new Ares BTR 4.5-27x50 FFP at half the price.

I've heard the Cronus beats out anything in the <$2500 range and punches WAY outside it's weight class.

What can y'all share about this optics company?

I run the Cronus on my .300 win mag and have had great luck with it. It's performed
Flawlessly from -10 below to 90 above on targets, rocks, elk, coyotes, wolves, whatever. Clicks aren't quite as "crisp" as my Nightforce, but they are still plenty tactile and the scope tracks well. The glass is outstanding. The 29x is probably a waste, I never shoot it much above 20x.
