I need to get a scope for my new rifle that is going to be used mainly for hunting, but occasionally some long range as well. I've been looking at the Nightforce SHV 4-14 F1 and the Athlon Ares ETR 3-18. Both seem like solid choices. I have only been able to get my hands on the SHV, and while being a "lower tier" NF, it's still quality. I cannot find the ETR locally, so I would be buying it purely on faith and reviews. Anyone have experience with either of these?
