I'm running almost the same load out of my 28. shooting consistent .25" groups very accurate at 1000 yards. great load an bullet combo for a 28 BUT don't hunt with the Berger. I had 2 very bad experiences with that bullet. One blew up on a neck shot at 100 yards on a mule deer and another on bull at 256 yards one shoulder shot and one hit the rib. Went back to the 160 grain accubond to hunt and the 180 on steel.
Yeah the Berger's are supposed to be violent though. I personally prefer their performance over the accubonds. But I wouldn't want to hit an elk in the shoulder with one either.

Those are some impressive groups!! Is that from a hunting rifle?
Yes sir. It's from my 260 Rem. It's equipped with a 27" Krieger Barrel, 2 stage Timney Calvin Elite Trigger and MDT Chassis. It's a factory action that has bin trued by Mike from Texas Brigade Armory, Mingus Texas. It has a Vortex 2gen 3-18x50 Razor scope. I took those shots in Brawley California when I was visiting some family. I recorded it with a go pro and a Panasonic video recorder. I lost a lot of video because it was like 115 degrees outside. It's not a bench gun so I can't hold a 1" group at 1,000 yards, but I have on many occasions held it under 2" 5 shot groups. I have my bad days don't get me wrong. I do like to push myself though. I think we all do. It makes us better.

The big hog that I'm showing off the 2.75"cutters was shot at 997 yards. The small hog was shot at maybe around 50 yards. The buck was shot at like 250 yards. Not all shot are long, but I'm not going to limit myself to 200 or 300 yard shots. It's a rifle. It was designed to reach out and touch targets at a long ranges. That's my 260 Rem. I have a 7Rem Mag Sendero set up the same way, just never needed it. I still shoot it now and then though.
