I shoot 60gr tmk in my 16" AR. At 100 yards, only pieces of jacket come out the back of a water jug. Seems to flatten them pretty good

The jackets on 69 SMK are thicker than the 68 Hornady BTHP but I've found better accuracy with the Sierras.Best I can do with Hornady is around 1" where Sierra would shoot into around 3 /4". Probably a moot point at . 223 range.
If shooting a fast twist large capacity .224 the Sierra might open up better but at 27-2900 they pencil for me on.Coyotes at 200-400 yds.
