I am looking to buy an AR-30 rifle, where would I look to get specifications and other information on this rifle. I already have a Barrett Light 50 but want something a little lighter for long range shooting, plus it never hurts to buy another rifle. Thanks in advance for any information sent.

I love my AR30

I have one in .338, and use it for long range hunting. This year I took Mule deer, elk and Oryx with it out to 700+ yards. I have carried it many miles.. it is a bit heavy but definitely do-able.

I shoot 300gr SMK at about 2700 fps.

does the 338 weight the same as the smaller magnum rounds. I think its like 12 lbs.

I think with scope, sling bipod and a full magazine it is close to 16 Lbs.

I can't find a AR-30 anywhere so I paid a deposit and gonna wait for it. It seems nobody has a AR in 338 Lapua. I would like you folks opinions on a scope for this rifle, was thinking about a 4.5-14 Leupold Tactical but since I haven't shot long range in a LONG time ideas from other people would appreciated. Thanks

lr mark 4 or a NF. I have a 6.5-20x50 mark4, and I love it.
