Well I was working on loads for my new addition to my elk rifles. N570 was working great. 195's were averaging 3,026 fps with ES of 8 SD of 2 at 0.35 moa, 180 Hybrid's were 3,106 average about the same ES & SD at 0.40 moa. Then I found a pound of Retumbo I didn't know I had. All I had. So what the heck loaded a ladder. Found a great node at the high side. Played with the seating depth a little but went straight to the seating depth I had the 180's at on the N570 and Bam! 0.15 moa. That was 0.005" off the lands. So I loaded up 5 more to touching the lands....Boom! Same location 0.033" 4 shot group. So I cleaned my barrel cause that was like round 25 since cleaned. Cleaned it used the one I didn't shoot and 2 others to get back to it. Cooled the barrel in the AC and shot another 3 shot group at 0.160 moa.

Defiant AntiX
24" Proof 1:8 CF
F215M
Berger 180 Hybrid 3,172 FPS average ES 10 SD 3
Retumbo 83.5 grains
Touching lands
ADG Brass

Will be taking it out to 1000 yards next weekend

Amen!

OAL was 3.592". Comparator was 2.864". Neck Tension was set at 0.0015". That ADG brass was and is giving me fits on the necks. About 1 in 8 or so the necks are too hard. You don't recognize it until your running a mandrel through them. Then a few would get by and show up when seating the bullets. I just set them to the side to anneal later as I found them.
