Applied Ballistics - interesting info on Berger 156 EOL B.C.

The comparison of the two profiles is as follows - </p><p></p><p>1000 yds</p><p>10mph 3 o'clock wind</p><p>Baro of 23.5</p><p>temp of 50</p><p>156 EOL @ 2916fps</p><p></p><p>Berger profile - </p><p>UP - 21.75</p><p>RIGHT - 3.25 or 34.02 inches</p><p>impact speed - 1924 fps</p><p>impact energy -1282 ft-lbs</p><p></p><p>AB profile - </p><p>UP - 21.5</p><p>RIGHT - 3.0 or 31.41 inches</p><p>impact speed - 1944 fps</p><p>impact energy - 1309 ft-lbs</p><p></p><p>So that equates to about 2.6" less drift and drop, 20 ft-lbs more energy, and 27 fps faster. For all practical purposes, negligible, other than the differences in impact, but that is why prior to shooting that far we must validate trajectory. </p><p></p><p>Anyway, I digress.
