Anyone know where 8208 powder is?

Any folks in a Denver (I won't travel or ship) needing 8208 xbr or TAC I have a little I can part with. Send me a pm!

I traded 8208 for primers two years ago. It's real hard to find just like RL 26. That powder chart is great. I'm going to be switching out quite a few to more available powders.

Its why I dont like charts.....
Sometimes you see one powder reversed from another one and different on different charts.. You dont really get a feel for how close or far apart things are on the chart, just relative.

8208 has a Ba of .625

Varget is very close at .615
and is temp insensitive.

My bet is Hodgdon which owns IMR is doing the same thing w 8208 it did with all the Endurons.

Shutting them down so they dont compete with their H extreme series products.
I substituted N135 for the lack of 8208 for the 6BR. It's working out well. Out of curiosity, what is the Ba for N135?

The abbeviation "Ba" is new to me. It's evident that the term is familiar to others, but I'd appreciate further information. Just what is Ba, please? Thanks!

Where in Montana are you? I have 3lbs of it for my Grendel was considering switching to CFE223 if I can get a load worked up for it. I have a bit of TAC too. I could try to do a stability test. I was under the impression that 8208 wasn't an extreme and could still experience big increases or decreases due to temps, though I've never tested it. CFE223 seems to be of a similar burn rate and it's all over the place.
I had heard it was temp stable, but could be wrong?? I guess that'd be pretty important to me, what is everyone's experience with 8208 and temp stability? I'm in Great Falls.

I guess based on some of the things I was reading. I think even in this thread it's relatively temp stable. There are others, I'm sure, around that same burn rate that are probably pretty good too. Well, if I ever work a different load up for my Grendel and I'm near Great Falls I can sell it to you.

Yep Hodgdon shut down all the Endurons. Not available anymore. Im unsure what happened to 8208 BXR, but its possible it has also been discontinued or just minimized for the same reason. It would compete with Varget and H 4895.
