Anyone had to return Nightforce under waranntee??

Hi all
Living in the UK and have got a defect on my NXS scope which has only been used for target shooting 2-3 times.
I have been in touch with NF who say not a problem just send it in. My only concern is sending it to the USA due to the export embargo on scopes of this quality.
Has anyone had any experience of sending scopes in from outside the USA and what sort of customs procedures did you have to use?
