Natchez has them at fire sale prices, $499 for Duplex and $599 for mil-dot.

Nikon Monarch X 2.5-10x42 Rifle Scope NikoPlex Reticle Matte - Natchez Shooters Supplies
Seems like alot of scope for the money. Side AO, etched reticle, 30mm tube, wide variable range. Anyone have any firsthand experience with this scope?

I handled one at the local Gander back before Christmas. For $599.00 I'll order one.

For those who have actually looked through the Monarch X what did you think of the reticle sharpness? I have looked through the standard monarch's and while the glass was really good I found the reticles to be not nearly as sharp as the Zeiss and Sightron SII BS. The Monarch X line is supposed to have etched reticles, but I don't know if they are any sharper then the standard monarch's.
