First off, I appreciate all the suggestions and help on my "failed target test" post. Learned a lot that I will carry forward and put to good use. However, I don't think it was the scope or the mounts. Let me explain.
I'm taking my boys to TX Friday to hunt free range Axis deer and hogs. So I'm checking the zero for my Creedmoor. It's dead on at 100. Shoot 200, and hit the very bottom paper. ***??? Adjust the scope up the correct amount and it hits way higher than it should. Im about to lose my mind. Seriously. After the tall target test fiasco, I've about had it. On a whim I take the Harvester can off (this is the same suppressor that was on the PRC that failed the test) and look down the bore and see what looks like a big hunk of metal hanging off to one side!! Apparently, and I don't know when, I had a baffle strike on that can. Not only is my favorite hunting can trashed, there is no telling how many hours I've wasted chasing bullet holes because of it! I mean ****!!! I realize it's good that I discovered this now, before my hunts, before wasting more time and bullets, but how in the world do you have a baffle strike and not know it??? I mean ****!!!
Oh well, live and learn I guess.
BTW, anyone have any idea how much it will cost to replace the core on the suppressor???
