Another Weather Front-What is a derecho?

We were lucky and only about 65mph winds and no damage. Heavy rain but that's ok. Heavy damage west of us so just depended where you were with storm. Crazy night though, weather radio went off 5-6 times with warnings. Gotta listen since you may need to be in basement.

Derecho means "right" in Spanish. (Someone said straight...that's not correct.) Glad you stayed LEFT of all the big trouble Muddyboots.

Google Cedar Rapids derecho August 2020. It's basically a straight line tornado that lasted for more than 40 minutes. It literally went thru my Mom's condo and destroyed it (she was safe in the bathroom). Nearly the whole town was TRASHED.

During this time period my sister in law was born and grew to rather large weight. I feel that caused the poles to shift slightly. I f she were to move to China, the poles could shift back. When I mentioned this I became the bad guy.

Reminds me of Larry the cable guy's sister. She has one of them belly button rings. They use it for a tow hook to get her away from the all you can eat buffet.
