Another MOA Question, Ring Heights?

OK, I need the help of the mathematicians on board again. The task is I am trying to get the last few MOA left at the bottom of my 8-32x56 NXS on my Lapua. I just installed a 30 moa NEAR MFG base and zeroed at 300 I am .975 off bottom. In measuring my NF rings I find they vary quite a bit in height. Yes, I am holding a set that is .005" difference between the pair. So depending on which one is in front that could be .005 down or .005 up with a total of .010" difference. In my mind that could make up the 8 to 10 moa I am after. Correct???

So the question is, how many moa per .001" if the rings are 4.758" apart C/C.
