My ten year old shot this cow off my shoulder as a rest. He's 10 so he can't support it well. We saw them coming and ambushed them. 202 yards. He clipped the last piece of lung. The 143 eldx put 1" through it. The hit could been better but it still went down with only 1.

This is the 7th elk my family has killed with a 143 eldx.

Thank you guys. I'm glad my son salvaged my season. I picked the 2 stormyest days to go and then was worried I wouldn't get out.

I spent 4 hours winching her out today. I had a fever yesterday so I bagged it when it got dark and he was freezing.

I feel like blessed because I was in misery this morn but pushed through and I'm glad I got there when I did. Wolves followed our tracks to the elk but didn't get closer than 15 feet from it. Shweew.....close!

Hate leaving them over night but the cold fever was all I could do to track and gut her.
