Am I using the right primers…

I'm shooting a 7RM, mostly Nosler brass (sometimes Hornady)

I've been shooting the CCI 250 magnums. I've had really frightening pressure spikes (for comply inexplicable reasons) on two different rounds, blew the firing pin back into the bolt and ruined it.

No more of that,

What primers SHOULD I be using?

I hunt around 7,500', 40*, shooting RL26 and absolute hammer 155.

If it was only two rounds something is inconsistent and it's a much bigger deal than just your primer sounds like you're running too hot of a load On those two for sure the question is why are they different from the others

Alliant lists 65.9 RL26 with a 160 Partition, 162 Amax 69.1 RL26.

It's not the primer, different brass when on the ragged edge could do it.

60.5 or RL26, I'm nowhere near max, using chargemaster

From what I can find, I believe you are below the recommended minimum charge for RL26 with both a 150gr and 160gr bullet. I might be wrong.

I have never seen what a charge below recommended can do, could this be the result of it?

^^^ I have heard of too low of charge doing this as well but never seen it.

I've heard of too low of a charge in a magnum causing more of a quick detonation inside the case instead of a slow burn.
