Allen Precision Shooting APS Raptor repeater in 338 Allen Xpress for sale

I have for sale my APS Raptor in 338 AX. I ordered this rifle in 2011 and due to Kirby's work load and the run on all firearms parts after the last election it took until March of 2015 to get this gun delivered to me. In the mean time I built a 300 WM that really suits my style of hunting better than this rifle does. This rifle just sits in my safe and doesn't get used. I have fired this rifle 10 times since I received to sight in the scope (4 shots), shoot one 3 shot group (under ½" CTC), and 3 shots at the 424 yard steel at the Butte Gun Club. I used the correctly head stamped 338 AX brass that I purchased from Kirby along with the load Kirby developed with the rifle to perform this.

I am offering this rifle for sale for what I paid for it. This is way lower than the current list price and Kirby also had mentioned he was not taking any more orders until he was able to get his books freed up and wait time down to a year.

The Package Includes:
APS Raptor bolt action repeater in 338 AX
100 pieces correctly head stamped 338 AX brass with 10 of them once fired
Custom Dies for 338 AX
Nightforce ATACR V1 5x25x56 scope with MOAR reticle
2 sets of NF Ultralight 34MM scope rings (as per Kirby's recommendation)
NF 34MM Top ring with Level and ADI mount
NF Angle Degree Indicator
100 (2 boxes) 300 Grain 338 SMK
100 (1 Box) 300 Grain 338 Berger OTM

PACKAGE PRICE of $8,500 shipped and ready to shoot after you sight it in. Pay the asking price and I will include 2 pounds of Retumbo and 100 Federal 215 primers (components of the load Kirby worked up) so you are ready to shoot after you load shells.

RIFLE, BRASS, and DIES ONLY PRICE of $5,500 shipped.

TX, I thought you had one?

I have a Raptor Stalker, the shorter and lighter version of the OP's rifle chambered in 300AX. Despite sending 200 grainers just short of 3400FPS recoil is comparable to my youth model 243 shooting 80 grainers at 3200. I'm positive with the OP's rifle's heavier weight and larger PK brake it's pleasant to shoot even with while sending 300's at 2930fps.

It's going to be a great buy for some body, not having to wait for for a practically brand new rifle built by Kirby is kind of a big deal with wait times averaging a little over two years now.

Sorry for the missed contacts. I didn't get any notifications for the last couple of days.

Here are some answers for a few questions I've been P.M.ed about...

Weight of scoped rifle without bipod is 15# 14 oz.

Dies are Kirby's custom made dies. Sizing die is a Hornedy brand and seating is a Forester Micrometer.

Barrel is Kirby's Lilja Stainless Steel Raptor LRSS custom contour barrel with the Raptor LRSS dual flute pattern on barrel.

Barrel Length is 30" plus 1.75" for brake.

Just so people know what we are dealing with, here are the actual list prices from Kirby's website if you ordered the rifle today (if he has started taking orders again):

Rifle-------------------------------->$4,900.00
Cheek Rest------------------------->$150.00
Cerakote--------------------------->$350.00
Dies-------------------------------->$350.00
100 Head Stamped brass--------->$425.00 (there were under 500 left when I got my brass)

Total list price +2 years wait----->$6,175.00

It is a heck of a deal with no wait time.

Jay

That is well worth avoiding the wait. It's well over 2 years now. I'm waiting on a .375 and it's been over two already. I would have loved to see this when I was looking.
