I have a friend who has just purchased a Kimber 6.5 Creedmoor Mountain Rifle for an upcoming sheep hunt in Alaska. He would like to purchase a lightweight scope to enable him to shoot out to a maximum range of 500 yards. He wants to use a 1" tube scope and keep it as light as possible. Does anyone have suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I have a couple of Vortex Razor HD LH 3-15x42 scopes.....16.5 oz. Lightweight, clear, dial or holdover.....have on 300 Wby and 264 WM. Love 'em!

I had a Leupold vs 3i 3.5-10x40 with cds on my 6.5 CM mountain accent. It was a really nice set up in my opinion. A VX 5HD 3-15x44 would be probably even better. Even with a 30mm tube its only 8-9oz more than the vx 3i
