Action for 308 build? Mauser or mausingfield

I'm really wanting to build a 308 win for whitetail and generalized plinking.
I've been really eyeballing the mausingfield actions. However my uncle gave me an old 8mm mauser truck gun that's been sporterized.

I really like my jewel triggers which is turning me off to the mauser action.
Cant really decide on stocks either

Just hit up the local Wally World and buy a cheap Rem 700 ADL short-action, strip it down to the bare action, blueprint, and build from there.

Or, get a Curtis Axiom action.

There's a lot of creative and innovative design that went into the Mausingfield action creation and I considered it on my last full custom build but went with the Bighorn Arms SR2 instead.
