AccuBond LR 6.5mm 142 Grain Bullet

I haven't even seen the 6.5 129 gr. LR Accubond and they've supposedly been out for over a year. Nosler would do well to actually make some of the bullets they catalog instead of introducing new ones.

That's funny... I guess they are just put in there catalog for eye catchers an advertisement buzz then. Come to think about it I have never seen them either. O well I'll keep shooting the bergers. Maybe I'll go to there web page and write a review on how they don't exist.

I have not seen the 6.5 142gr ABLR yet. I have been able to purchase and shoot all the other ABLRs. The .284 150s and 168s have done well in my 280AI and the 175s are prepped to work up in my 28 Nosler. The .308 190s did well in my 300RUM. The 210s didn't group well at first. I'll be doing a second round this spring. The 129gr 6.5s are shooting 1/2" groups out of my Creedmore. All the ABLRs have been available in the last year. Midway has some in stock right now as well as SPS. They have been selling out just like every other component has for the last few years.

May I ask what your load is for the 6.5 Creedmoor??

I don't want to hi jack the thread but can you post or pm me your 280ai 150 gr. info .
I can't get them to shoot under a 1 inch at 100 but the gun shot a .272 with 140 NBT.

My 280AI load is 63.5gr IMR7828, Nosler cases, Fed210 Primer. Coal is 3.395.
A lot of shooters have found better accuracy .03 to .06 off the lands. My load development is pretty simple. Find the most accurate powder at the FPS I'm looking for. Starting OAL is .03 off lands working back in .005 increments. When I find loads that work I'll fine tune the OAL. I've always found that the BTs like to be close the lands but the ABs like more of a jump.
As always reduce starting load by 10% and work up. My rifle is long throated and is more than likely to be different from yours. At 64+gr I had evidence of pressure.

ive never seen the 129's In stock anywhere and ive been looking for over a year when they were released. I highly doubt the 142's will be available any time soon.

where exactly did you find the 129's?

I was surprised to see they were in stock.... Grabbed 2 boxes. Should be awesome in my 6.5 Sherman. Also found the 129s a while back as well.

On the 6.5mm 142 grain they are claiming a G1 of .719 ??? Berger hybrids targets are .618 for comparison
No wonder there aren't any on the shelf.

G1 BALLISTIC COEFFICIENT 0.719
G7 BALLISTIC COEFFICIENT 0.320

6.5mm 142 Grain
AccuBond Long Range Bullet
Part# 58922
Spitzer Point

Keep in mind that advertised number like the rest of the ABLR bullets are over estimated. The 129 ABLR has a form factor somewhere around .93-.94 giving them a litz tested G7 BC of .283. If we apply that same form factor to the 142gr offering we get a G7 BC of .313 and a G1 somewhere around .611. If the form factor is a bit better we might see something around .620 but nowhere near .700.
